As far back as I can remember and still now, I love going to Flinders beach at low tide and looking through rock pools. I don’t care how old I am I’ll always love it.
Not long ago I was down that way and it inspired this piece. From the pier looking over the water to the pools there were some insane colours that I’ve used for this piece but the real beauty for this one is in the layers.
The tide reveals rock pools and hidden dimensions to the landscape and the goal was to portray those levels through this piece. If you get a chance to see this piece in person please look closely.
This is ‘Low Tide’.
