I’ve been working on the idea for this piece for about three months. Usually the design and idea comes to me five minutes before walking into the studio so to me, this is special.
The idea was to portray a place, which I see as one of the most interesting and beautiful, while at the same time brutal places on earth; The Congo Jungle in Africa.
I wanted this piece to represent a variety of characteristics from that environment. The thousand’s of different plant species. The rivers, streams, waterfalls that shape the forest and some of the insane colors worn by the exotic, beautiful and often poisonous animals that call this place home.
In my opinion, no artist of any description will ever create anything to give this place the recognition it deserves, but this is the Congo through my eyes.
This is ‘Welcome to the Jungle’.
