All time favorite film/ Documentary - The Art of Flight, not for the story line but purely for the cinematography, it’s absolutely insane!
It’s a snow boarding film where a bunch of dudes travelled all over the world riding in some places where people had never even been before, accessible only by helicopter, real nature. Needless to say they shot some crazy landscapes.
One area in particular stood out for me. It was an area called the ‘Darwin Range’ in Chile. Masses of huge chunks of ice, some bigger then eight story buildings. Crazy to look at but I’ve done my best to trying and illustrate what I saw there in this piece, focusing on the glaciers.
I think there’s a lot of understated beauty in the fine detail of those glaciers, so I’ve tried to show that in this piece.
This is ‘Devil in the Darwin’.
