‘Through art we are creating a voice, to achieve our goals in Wildlife conservation’. This is the heading behind all of my social media channels and the mentality behind MGRA.

When it fits, I always draw attention to environmental issues through my work, such as the destruction of the Great Barrier Reef. The idea behind this piece was to portray the reef in gold, to represent natural value.

The idea behind the black and white was to create something destructive oil/ dredging and at the same time still trying to put together an attractive colour pallet and design.

Looking at this piece from different angles gives a huge change in the colour, especially through the gold. Looking at the Coral Reef and it’s destruction can be similar. There is a perception of immediate value with companies seeing a gold mine in dredging and mining oil on the reef but if effort was put into its protection now, tourism is where the value lies for the long-term, not only our environment but also our economy.

This is ‘Stop the Dredging’.
