As a kid, my family was fortunate enough to have the use of a holiday house, on a beach in St Leonard’s.
We didn’t go to often but I loved it there. We’d spend the day at the beach, which at low tide would reveal potholes and rock pools within and around large beds of sea grass. This was like heaven to me. I would spend hours there with a net catching any little creatures I could, which were trapped by the tide.
We would walk up and down the beach along side these huge red and orange cliff faces, the colors were insane and I’ve tried to portray those in this artwork.
This is ‘St Leonard’s’.
